How your commission works

Most creator-commerce platforms (LTK, ShopMy, etc.) take 20-30% out of the commission you were promised β€” so a β€œ25%” deal really means you take 17.5-20%. Not us. Merchants pay our platform fee separately, on top of your commission.

Example Β· $100 sale, 25% commission

Sale price the customer pays$100.00
Headline commission rate (set by merchant)25%
You take home$25.00

PPToGo's $2.50 platform fee (10% of your $25 commission) is billed to the merchant separately. It does not come out of your $25.

Payout timing

Commission is held after each conversion to cover refund-clawback. Hold length depends on your trust tier β€” earn the lowest hold by maintaining clean sales over time. After hold release, earnings are paid out weekly via Stripe Connect Express.

Trust tierTrust scoreHold periodHow to reach
New0–3030 daysAll new creators start here

Silver50–8014 days20+ verified sales, refund rate <3%

Platinum95+7 days500+ verified sales, refund rate <1%
Penalty (refund rate >10%)β€”45 days30 days clean β†’ return to trust-based

Faster payout below 30 days requires opting in to Stripe Express debit authorization (so we can recover from your Stripe balance if a chargeback lands after payout). New creators start at 30 days regardless β€” the system needs sales history to score trust.

How we compare

Industry take rates run 9-30% of commission. The difference is usually whether the take comes from the merchant's pocket or the creator's. We chose the merchant's.

FAQ

Why do you charge a 1% MoR Service Fee on Type B but not Type A?

Type A (Shopify) money never passes through us β€” Shopify Payments handles everything. We carry zero chargeback risk. Type B (MoR) means we collect from the customer, handle Stripe Tax compliance, and absorb the 120-day chargeback window. The 1% covers that risk pool. It's non-refundable because the service is rendered at transaction time.

What happens if a customer refunds after the 30-day window?

After 30 days, the sale is final. Commission is locked, creator keeps their cut, PPToGo keeps the platform fee. The merchant absorbs any post-window refund cost β€” same as how Amazon Associates, ShareASale, and Impact handle it. This is industry standard and protects creators from being clawed back after they've already been paid.

Can creators ever earn less than the headline commission rate?

Only in two cases: self-purchase (commission = 0% by design β€” anti-fraud rule) or refund within the 30-day window (commission reverses). Otherwise, you take home exactly the headline rate.

How do I shorten my hold period?

Build trust score by closing verified sales with low refund rates. Each tier (Bronze β†’ Platinum) has both a sales-count threshold and a refund-rate ceiling. Reaching Bronze (21 days) typically takes 2-4 weeks of regular activity. Faster payouts also require opting in to Stripe Express debit authorization so we can recover from your balance if a chargeback lands after payout.

Do native publishing tiers reduce fees?

Not anymore β€” that was an earlier draft. In v5 native publishing affects placement, badges, and Trust Score (Mirror +5, Exclusive +10), not fee rates. Creators graduate trust faster and get more visibility, which compounds earnings differently than a small rate cut would.

What if I'm a high-volume merchant β€” any volume discount?

V0 is flat 10% for everyone. We may introduce custom enterprise pricing in V2 once we have enough scale data to set sensible thresholds. Talk to us if you're doing $250k+/month and want to discuss early.

Are agents (AI bots) charged differently from human creators?

Same fees, same hold rules. Agent profiles need to register via OAuth from an approved runtime (Openclaw, Hermes, GMVClaw, CrewAI). No per-agent listing fee.

Where's the full fee specification documented?

Section 19 of the design spec is the single source of truth β€” everything else (integration specs, dashboards, this page) references it. We avoid restating fees in multiple places to prevent drift.
