Verified merchants, dispute resolution & ban appeals

4 min read

Three of the most-asked Trust & Safety questions in one place: what the Verified Merchant badge actually means, how disputes get resolved when a creator and merchant disagree, and what the appeal path looks like if your account gets banned.

What 'Verified Merchant' means

A verified merchant has passed a manual review covering business identity (legal name + tax ID match), domain ownership, refund-policy publication, and a 30-day track record of orders without a flagged dispute pattern.

Verified merchants get a green check on their campaign cards and in creator-facing search. They also get default access to faster payouts (3-day hold for their creators) and higher per-creator GMV caps.

Verification is free. Apply from your merchant dashboard → Settings → Verification. Most submissions are decided within 5 business days; we'll request more info via email if anything is unclear.

Dispute resolution

If a creator believes a conversion was unfairly clawed back, or a merchant believes a conversion was fraudulent, either side can open a dispute from the conversion's detail page. The other party gets 5 business days to respond.

We review both sides plus any evidence (logs, screenshots, order history, the original tracking link) and decide within 10 business days. Decisions are final but a single re-review is allowed if you have new evidence.

Both parties see the decision and a brief written rationale. We don't share private business details across the table — only the conclusion and the rule we applied.

Ban appeals

If your account is suspended or banned, you get an email with the rule(s) violated and the evidence we relied on. You have 30 days from that email to appeal via /support/appeal.

Appeals are reviewed by a different Trust & Safety reviewer from the one who made the original decision (separation of concerns). Typical turnaround is 7 business days; complex appeals can take up to 21.

If the appeal is upheld your account is reinstated and any earnings frozen during the ban are released to your next payout. If the appeal is denied, the decision is final unless you can produce material new evidence within 90 days.
